In a significant community service initiative, Masonic District R7 Cebu Bohol Siquijor, in collaboration with Cebu City Councilor Rey Gealon, is organizing a Charity Outreach project.
The event is set to offer both medical and legal consultations free of charge and is scheduled for April 6, 2024, at the Elementary School in Barangay Quiot, Cebu City.
The program is expected to begin with a prayer led by Christin Narca, followed by the opening remarks from Councilor Rey Gealon, setting the stage for a day dedicated to serving the community’s needs.
In a remarkable display of support, around 40 lawyers and volunteers from the USC College of Law will be participating in the event to provide an array of legal services.
These services include free notary, drafting of affidavits, other legal documents, and legal advice, aiming to assist those in need of legal guidance and support.
Additionally, the outreach will feature approximately 10 medical professionals offering their expertise to the community.
Attendees will have access to free medicines, medical check-ups, and consultations, ensuring that basic health services reach those who are often underserved.
The event will also honor the dedication of volunteers and participants with an awarding of certificates, and will conclude with closing remarks from VW Hudson Ong.
This initiative underscores the combined efforts of Masonic District R7 – Cebu Bohol Siquijor headed by the Deputy District Grand Master Hudson Ong, under the auspices of The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Philippines, Councilor Rey Gealon, and the volunteers from the USC College of Law and the medical community, reflecting a strong commitment to addressing the health and legal needs of Cebu City’s residents.
