Andy Toniacao, the ace runner of Gealon Racing Team (GRT), delivered a stellar performance at the Siargao Marathon, clinching the 2nd Runner-Up position.
Toniacao conquered the 42-kilometer course with a time of 3 hours, 12 minutes, and 26 seconds, navigating the challenging route alongside a field of seasoned athletes.
The race kicked off with a brisk start, as runners faced the cold sea breeze at gunstart.
Despite the grueling conditions, Toniacao’s preparation paid off, showcasing his endurance and strength honed from recent road and trail runs.
GRT Manager Rey Gealon expressed his gratitude for the successful and safe outcome.
“We are thankful that Andy pulled through free from harm or injury. We give thanks to God for His guidance and protection,” Gealon said.
He also acknowledged the support of sponsors, including Alin Brokerage, C PASS, Tri J Marketing, and La Nueva Supermart, all powered by FTW Athletics.
In another development, this time in Panglao, Bohol for the Bohol International Marathon, Fiscal Hazel Caraballe, and her husband Limito, Jr. together with Tabtab Sarmago and Chester Rago, all of Gealon Racing Team, finished strong in their 42 KM event even after the 32 KM conquest of the HOKA RUN a week before.
