In a vibrant celebration of Women’s Month, the Tindahan ni Nanay (TNN) Trade Fair, a testament to the resilience and creativity of women microentrepreneurs, has opened its doors at SM City Cebu.
This initiative, brought to life through a partnership between the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Microfinance and SM City Cebu, aims to highlight the contributions of women to local entrepreneurship by showcasing a diverse array of locally crafted products.
From March 4-27, 2024, visitors to the North Wing Atrium of SM City Cebu can explore booths filled with handmade treasures, including delectable cakes and pastries, aromatic coffees and teas, stylish native bags, and unique accessories.
These products not only represent the hard work and innovation of the Nanay microentrepreneurs but also offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of local craftsmanship.
The TNN Trade Fair is a cornerstone event of the month-long Women’s Month celebration, echoing the empowering theme, “We are Women. We Empower for Change.”
In addition to the trade fair, the partnership has organized a series of complimentary pocket events designed to further celebrate and empower women. These include a Serenade by The Sister’s of Mary School on March 9, a Zumba Fitness session on March 16, a Legal Advice Clinic on March 23, and the “We Are Women: Talkshow” on March 24.
Tindahan ni Nanay stands as one of RAFI Microfinance, Inc.’s flagship non-financial programs.
It aims to provide more than just a marketplace for women microentrepreneurs; it seeks to be a nurturing ground where they can develop their skills, grow their businesses, and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the local economy.
Through initiatives like the TNN Trade Fair, RAFI Microfinance continues to support and celebrate the enduring spirit and impactful role of women in the world of entrepreneurship. – CebuLifestyleChannel.ph
