The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is ramping up efforts to position Cebu as a prime investment locale through enhanced collaborations and strategic partnerships, according to CCCI President Jay Yuvallos.
Speaking at the chamber’s recent general membership meeting at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, where new officers and members were inducted, Yuvallos emphasized the importance of uniting industry leaders and various organizations to drive economic growth and enhance Cebu’s global competitiveness.
Under the new leadership agenda named LEAD, the chamber aims to launch a new branding initiative, ‘Invest in Cebu: Prosper in Paradise’, foster deeper community engagement, actively cultivate partnerships, and develop an innovative culture across all business sectors.
Yuvallos outlined upcoming projects including the establishment of a showroom for small and medium enterprises at the Cebu Chamber Centre and the creation of the Cebu Investment Development Concierge Center (CIDCC), aimed at facilitating investment and providing support services.
Immediate Past President Charles Kenneth Co lauded the chamber’s progress under his tenure and the continuous efforts to advance Cebu’s economic landscape, particularly through the Cebu Business Mobilization (CBM) 2023 initiative.
Senator Raffy Tulfo, who officiated the induction of the new officers, praised CCCI’s role in fostering a cooperative and inclusive economic environment in Cebu, underscoring its pivotal role in the region’s development since its inception in 1903.
The event also included a “Meet and Match with Members” session, designed to facilitate networking and identify potential business opportunities among members, reinforcing CCCI’s commitment to building a robust business community in Cebu.
